🚀 Our 8th grade scientists in Mrs. Nelson’s class are preparing for launch! Students designed, built, and launched their own rockets while applying real-world science concepts from the Ohio Learning Standards. Through this hands-on experience, students explored:
🔹 Newton’s 3rd Law of Motion – every action has an equal and opposite reaction
🔹 Newton’s 2nd Law – how force and mass impact acceleration
🔹 Net force, gravity, and air resistance
🔹 Projectile motion and rocket trajectory
These exciting STEM activities help students move beyond the textbook and experience science in action through problem-solving, engineering, collaboration, and critical thinking. We are so proud of the creativity, teamwork, and scientific thinking demonstrated by our Southeast Pirates! 🏴☠️🚀
A huge thank you to Mrs. Nelson for creating engaging learning experiences that make science come alive for students!
