JA

On Wednesday, March 4, our Southeast Middle School 8th graders had the opportunity to attend the JA Inspire Career Fair held at the Center for Performance at Hall of Fame Village in Canton. This interactive career exploration event brought together educators, local businesses, and industry leaders to help students begin discovering potential career pathways and understand how their interests and skills connect to real-world opportunities. Students were able to speak directly with professionals from a variety of industries, learn about education and training requirements, and gain insight into the local workforce and economy. Experiences like JA Inspire are designed to help students connect classroom learning to future careers while developing important soft skills and professional awareness.

For our Southeast 8th graders, this experience was especially valuable as they begin thinking about their transition to high school and beyond. Opportunities like JA Inspire strongly align with our district’s shared vision of preparing students to become confident, capable learners who explore career possibilities, build community connections, and discover pathways that match their strengths and interests. By engaging with local employers and exploring career clusters firsthand, our students gained meaningful exposure to the many possibilities that lie ahead and took an important step toward becoming the future leaders and innovators of our community.
