On Friday, November 21st, ten of our middle school students were selected to attend the Portage County Youth Leadership Seminar at the Garrettsville YMCA. This yearly event brings middle school students from across the county together with their high school mentors to learn about leadership, communication, and teamwork, setting them on a path for personal growth and community impact. Students actively participated in group discussions, workshops, and team-building exercises designed to foster their leadership capabilities and encourage collaboration among peers. As the day concluded, these middle school students left with newfound confidence, a deepened understanding of leadership, and a determination to make a positive difference. They are ready to take on civic responsibilities & challenges and contribute to their communities in meaningful ways.
